Brenda Lee Owens Cox

Brenda Lee (Owen) Cox, 74, passed away Sunday October 27, 2019 after a battle with some respiratory issues took her last breath.
A Greenville native, she was the daughter of the late Rufus & Gertrude Owen. Prior to her retirement she was a local business owner. Brenda was a devoted mother of three children and lived with the love of her life Sam Ashley and their 2 dogs, Benji & Davidson. Family was Brenda's foremost passion in life. She loved the Lord and knew she was always in good hands.
Preceded in death are her parents; Rufus & Gertrude Owen, her sister (and best friend) Grace Floyd.
Brenda is survived by her 3 children, Sherry Young, Chris Elliott & Chip Cureton, grandchildren; Kristin Furturer, Zachary Young & Christina Elliott. Must mention her adopted son; Paul Deemer, Paul was her in house care giver for many years and grew to know Brenda as a mother and provider.
There will be a celebration of life service at Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church, 19 Sidney St, Greenville, SC 29609 (behind Duke's sandwich shop on Poinsett Hwy) Thursday Oct 31, 2019, 11 AM. There will be a service and then receiving of friends afterwards in the Sanctuary.
