Brenda Ann Garrett

Brenda Ann Garrett, known affectionately as Brenda to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2024, at the age of 69, in Easley, South Carolina. Born on March 9, 1954, in Greenville, South Carolina, Brenda was a beacon of love and strength throughout her life.

Brenda was the cherished wife of James Garrett, with whom she shared a beautiful and enduring love. She was born to Amelia Jackson and Walter Kellett, and she carried the legacy of her family with pride and honor. Brenda was predeceased by her brothers and sister Tommy, Mack, Robbie, and Debra Kellett, as well as Peter Vitale. Her spirit will continue to be celebrated by her surviving siblings: Larry Kellett, David Kellett and his wife Ann, Teresa Kellett Edwards and her husband Eric, and Wayne Kellett and his wife Gillan.

A devoted mother, Brenda was adored by her children, Keith Kellett and his wife Sheryl, and Ralph Jennings. Her role as a grandmother was one of her greatest joys, and she was blessed with a host of grandchildren: Brittany Kellett and her spouse Jillian, Keith Kellett Jr. and his wife Anna, Brandi Kellett, Brenda and James Garrett, Tiffany McMorland and her husband Brian, Alicia Johnson and her husband Shy, James Christopher, Blake Jennings, and Justin Dalton Jennings. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Serenity Redding, Bentley Kellett, Braydon Kellett, Baylee Kellett, Camden Kellett, Caleb Cobb, Cart Cobb, Camren Kellett, Skylar Mayes, Sunni Mayes, Jada James, Jason James, Jessiah James, and Jaylen James.

Throughout her life, Brenda embraced the role of a housewife with grace and dedication, creating a warm and welcoming home for all who entered. She was the heart of her family, known for her loving nature, her thoughtful gestures, and her courageous spirit in the face of life's challenges.

Brenda's interests were a reflection of her love for the simple pleasures in life. She had a talent for ceramics, creating beautiful pieces that were as unique and special as she was. Her fondness for shopping at Goodwill was not only a testament to her practicality but also her ability to find joy in the discovery of hidden treasures. Above all, Brenda's favorite pastime was spending time with her family. The bonds she formed with each family member were deep and enduring, filled with cherished moments and lasting memories.
